The Christmas season might be famous for carols and coloured lights where you're
from, but it's also the perfect time to explore some of the traditions experienced by communities that celebrates them annually. What better excuse when you work in an international and multi cultured environment. This year Caroline, Hotel Manager introduced us to the tradition of the "Adventskalendar". An Adventskalendar or also known as the Christmas calendar is available in various forms and colours, patterns, shapes and sizes, but generally shows the remaining days until Christmas to, or from one of these. Each time we opened a door on this calendar after our morning meeting, we took turns to relish a chocolate surprise that we picked out of it.
On 9 December 2012, we then arrived at Caroline's place for a gathering to mark Christmas for 2012 at Nikki Beach Resort & Spa, The Pearl Qatar. With Christmas Carols on the background and lots of delicacies to indulge in, we all had a merry time opening up presents from Secret Santa.
